Serving on a ministry team can be an exciting, life-giving experience. Many people thrive in a healthy team environment that faithfully embodies the “one another” relational dynamic of the NT (Rom. 12:3-13).
For others, however, their deepest relational wounds are from the teams they’ve been a part of. The team culture can be marked by disunity, back-biting, jealousy, or authoritarian control. This can make for a miserable day-to-day experience for ministry leaders and ministry team members.
Most teams exist somewhere in the middle, demonstrating some healthy and unhealthy dynamics simultaneously. But left unchecked, unhealthy dynamics eventually erode trust and create disunity.
The purpose of this assessment is to provide some diagnostic questions to evaluate the overall health of your team culture. In questions where we ask for a rating on a 1-10 scale, 1 = not at all, and 10 = always.
